Mohammad holds a Bachelor of Food Process Engineering from Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, and a Master of Technology from Tezpur University.

Mohammad was the recipient of the Research and Innovation Grant, Tezpur University, for his Masters dissertation, which was a study on the use of solar energy based drying technologies in food processing and feasibility of using them in the climatic conditions of Northeast India.

He received training in monitoring, controlling and maintenance of machinery for producing good quality hard-boiled candy, toffee and extruded snacks at Parle Biscuits Pvt Ltd. He is interested in carrying out research into technologies that will shape and define our future for social and economic change with applications and benefits to health and productivity.
